BMW E81 - VR6 8HP X-drive - CARSX - Work in progress

BMW E81, based on 120D, converted to Xdrive. Almost normal but .. we wanted to make a kind of Unicorn and we adapted a VR6 engine. At the time of starting this project, no one had made VR6Xdrive (and we don't know if it exists even now worldwide) .. a fact that made us even more ambitious. Since we weren't complicated enough, we said we had to make it a compound turbo
The most complicated element in this project was the oil pan. We built a custom, full billet pan. It took about 1 year because many 3D scans, plans, sketches, tests, etc. were necessary.. but in the end.. we achieved what in the first phase.. seemed unachievable. Thank you Atelier SRN, Adi Stana Ciprian Suciu for the effort.
We chose an 8HP70X box that will work with Turbo Lamik TCU electronics.
Engine Management + Power unit are from MaxxEcu, Pro and PDM20.
Fueling.. a complicated subject but simplified in the end. 2 Bugatti Veyron Brushless Pumps, 2 Ramps, 12 injectors of 2200cc each. “Quick disconnect” connectors everywhere, Turbosmart pressure regulator and Teflon pipes with metal reinforcement.
Custom intercooler, Garrett core. Routes 63->76->90mm. For safety, I used Alphalock couplings All custom things and adjustments were made by Tad Performance

- AST Rollcage
- Turbosmart wastegates
- PowerFlex bushing kit
- Turbosmart blow off
- + many other elements
